I took part in a very special meeting yesterday. Unlike many others, this meeting was full of love, friendship, good humour and wise words. Must repeat the often mentioned sentence: It is wonderful to realize every now and then how much wisdom and experience some people have in them and how great it is to be on the receiving end.
Actually, it wasn’t really a meeting, but an important celebration disguised as a meeting. Most of those present have spent (and still spend!) a lot of time in meetings, crystallized their values and ideals & found the meaning of life in meetings – and even fallen in love in the course of never-ending meetings. Hence, it was only logical to celebrate in a meeting.
I love it when people are able to laugh at themselves with genuine joy. It is with a warm smile and a playful wink of an eye that we slowly grow to understand and accept ourselves.
I’m getting overly sentimental here, listening to the best available radio programme in Finland. But that’s what good music does to you.
If you ever have the chance, log on to Radio Helsinki on Sundays between noon and 2pm Finnish time. Lasse Kurki hosts Rakkaudesta (literal translation something along the lines of Of Love For). The programme also plays on Tuesdays from 6 to 8pm, and then Lasse usually plays more music from a chosen artist. On Sundays, it’s a celebration of old and new music, always with beautiful melodies, deep feelings and thoughtful voices. My favourite kind of music, available every Sunday and Tuesday.
