Postcard from heaven

We just moved. Instead of broken glass on the street, my German Shepherd and I get to enjoy this every morning, afternoon and evening. We pop into the forest every day, it’s a luxury I’ve been dreaming of for a while.

The photo was taken today. Such beautiful light, everything suddenly green and lush and the sky so blue. It’s like a postcard from heaven.

Such happiness to be able to spend time in a forest every day. This brings a new angle to my slow living. No plans, no rush, more crochet, more forest, more thinking and writing, more peace of mind.

♦ In the meantime: The Whitsun has probably the funniest name of any public holiday. Sounds like a combination of a Whippet and Datsun. As the saying goes, if you don’t have a sweetheart in Whitsun, you won’t have one for the entire summer. Luckily, in this sense, the Finnish summer is very short.

♣ Song of the day: Pastora Soler, Quédate conmigo
